Newborn photos are the ones people regret not taking. The first two weeks pass in a blur of feeds and naps, and then the curled-up, sleepy stage is gone. I come to your home so nobody has to pack a car seat: we use the nursery, your bed, the window with the best light, and whoever is around — parents, siblings, grandparents, the dog.
Sessions are baby-led. We stop for feeding and changing as often as needed, there are no props or posed baskets, and the photos look like your actual home and your actual first days. A one-hour session is $275; two hours with the whole family is $375. The $550 Bloom Suite pairs it with a maternity session, and is the same bundle listed on the maternity page.

How much does a newborn photographer cost in Kansas City?

When should newborn photos be taken?
The first two to three weeks are ideal, when babies are sleepiest and curl up naturally. Book a window around your due date and we confirm the exact day after the birth. Older babies are welcome too — the photos simply become more awake and expressive.
Do you have a studio?
No. Every newborn session happens at your home, which is easier on a family with a days-old baby and gives photos that look like your life rather than a set. I don't use props, baskets, or posed wraps.
Can siblings and grandparents be in the photos?
Yes. The $375 two-hour session is designed for the whole family, with time for siblings and grandparents and for feeding breaks in between.
How should we prepare our home?
Turn the heat up a couple of degrees, open the curtains in the brightest rooms, and pick simple outfits in soft neutrals. Don't tidy the whole house — we use two or three spots and I work around the rest.
How soon will we get the photos?
Within 5–7 business days, in a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads. The two-hour session includes a sneak peek within 48 hours.
