How much does a photographer cost in Kansas City? +
It depends on the session. Kichdimna Photography's portrait sessions start at $175 for a 20-minute mini and run to $395 for a two-hour session with three outfits. Weddings run $1,500 to $2,900. Across the metro, family sessions commonly run $300–$750, individual headshots average $206–$319, and couples typically spend $2,000–$3,500 on wedding photography.
Why are your prices lower than other Kansas City photographers? +
Two reasons. There are no per-image fees or print packages on top — every edited photograph from your session is included in the price you see, where several studios charge a session fee and then sell images separately. And the business is still growing, so rates sit at or below the Kansas City market rather than above it.
What is included in every session? +
Professionally edited high-resolution images, a private online gallery, digital downloads, and travel within 40 miles of Kansas City. Portrait galleries arrive within 5–7 business days and weddings within 4–6 weeks.
Do you require a deposit? +
A 30% retainer books the date and the balance is due two weeks before the session. Payment plans are available for weddings. Cards, Venmo, and Zelle are all accepted.
Is there a travel fee? +
Not within 40 miles of Kansas City, which covers the whole metro on both sides of the state line. Beyond that, travel is quoted by distance.
